Newport, OR – Oregon Coast Bank (OCB) is proud to announce the promotion of Jill Meengs to Executive Vice President.

Meengs’ journey at OCB is one of the bank’s great stories of growth. She began as an imaging assistant before moving into lending as a loan assistant, then loan officer, and eventually Branch Manager of the Newport location. From there she built the HR department from the ground up, rose to Senior Vice President, and most recently served as Chief Administrative Officer overseeing HR, Facilities, and Shareholder Relations.

As Executive Vice President, Meengs now serves as the primary point of contact for all branch managers, working with them to strengthen customer and employee relationships, engage their communities, and develop strategies for branch growth. She has been part of OCB’s expansion from fewer than twenty employees across two branches to a team of roughly eighty across seven, all while helping preserve the culture and values that define the bank.

“I get to be a part of making decisions that are significant and often impactful,” she said. “A real community bank is an exceptional thing, and there aren’t that many left.”

For Meengs, that mission is personal. She describes the coastal community as hard working, full of integrity, and one of a kind, and says OCB has always strived to reflect those same qualities back to the people it serves. It is a legacy she is proud to help carry forward.

Oregon Coast Bank is the only bank built by and for people on the coast. It was founded when 115 coastal families pooled their resources to establish a locally owned and operated bank; its assets now exceed $400 million. For decades, OCB has been dedicated to keeping dollars local and helping coastal businesses thrive.
